Moving...

Just want you all to know that I'm moving to Florida, is to cold here. :) . It was hard to get out of bed this morning with 20 degrees weather OUCH!!! but I live in the sunshine state?

I've been meaning to update this blog on my move. I actually moved to a new domain last year. I wanted to combine everything into one blog instead of managing 2. Here's my new blog . It's under major construction since I am trying to work on learning my HTML code. There is alot that I want to do with it, from the header all the way to the signature but for now I haven't had time.It's amazing how fast life moves, so fast that one may blink and miss a year.

I'm a few hours away from celebrating a new year and ending a wonderful year. I'm excited about 2009. There is so much I want to do this upcoming year. I have set a bunch of goals and hope to be able to accomplish them in 2009. I have no picture to show today but I will have a ton more to come in 2009. Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New year!!!

Crazy weather..

If I was living in Chicago my heater would have been turned on and I probably would have been walking around with 2 sweaters and 2 pants. Not here in Florida. Today we had 80 degree weather. Isn't it crazy?

Just before the sunset which is my favorite time of the day (the golden time) I took Diego to get a few shots. Now I have to call Frank to show him how nice is here while he's overthere probably shivering. :)

I can't believe the year is almost over. Last night I sat hours and hours organizing all my pictures and made a special folder for all my favorites of 2008. I am really looking forward to the new year and all the upcoming challenges.

Diego has grown so much and has developed a wonderful personality. He hit a huge milestone at the beginning of January (8 months) began walking. I'll have to look at the rest of the pictures at home to remember the rest of the big milestones. :) He has truly been a blessing in our lives. Each day he makes me smile and has brought so much joy. Before leaving to Chicago I have a cool idea of showing you his personality.

We are getting ready to go to Chicago in a couple of weeks so I had to get this hat. He really worked the camera today :). My camera got here yesterday so I am still trying to learn all the features. What best way to learn .. My little model is awesome.

Christmas session Part1

It's been a while since I have updated this blog. To much going on to go into detail but I still shoot often and this month is going to be a super busy one. Today I attempted my first try getting out of the way a few ideas I've had. There is going to be 3 parts since the next shoot will be this Sunday and hopefully by then I get the black umbrella in.
So today I drove over to my friend Junlina house to get everything set up. I had to drag everything with me but I ended up forgetting the most important piece of equipment. If you guess the camera you are RIGHT. I can't believe I had left my camera. She lives a little to far so I ended up shooting with her Canon. I like her camera but I'm not great at all with a Canon. I felt I was off on everything. I'm not happy with them but on the reshoot I plan on going back to my Nikon. Nikon has everything different. Oh well it was the first attempt so hopefully things will go better.

Diego turned 19 months 2 days ago. He is doing so much but I will give a little update later. I'm going to bed now and of course here are a few pics.

This morning I woke up to do a spreadsheet, but could not find the product code. I started going through all my CD'S and found stuff I had forgotten about. I started going through old pictures and started realizing how much my life has changed since I became a mom.I'm a whole new person. I was one to think that things don't change after you have a child, but they do in one way or another. I love being a mom and would not change that for nothing in the world. I know I can't go back in time but I can start doing things I loved to do before.

Girls night out was one. It's nice to hang out with your friends and just chat and laugh about everything.

I started working out at the gym again. My friend Rosy and I are both aiming at reaching our goals. Although I have a few more years til I reach my 30's, I want them to be with a new me.

Those special moments that make up our lives are so nice when you have captured them. Here's a few pictures...

Jenna and Mia. Jenna was a very close friend of mine when I lived in Spain. They are now stationed in Japan but we're hoping they come to Florida next since we are extending another 3-4 years here.

The older Diego gets the more fun he is. Every single day he makes me smile and just laugh at all the stuff he does. He now has this fake laugh that makes Frank and I laugh even more. He keeps us entertain. :) He knows how to get our attention easily.

I thought the shirt was perfect for him and def had to get some shots. I miss shooting as much as I was but life has been hectic and I'm trying to find a happy medium. Just a few from today but have some more that I need to upload. We took Diego to Universal and Island of Adventure with our family this past weekend and we had a blast.

To upgrade or not..
The thoughts of upgrading my camera has been consuming my head. After trying the 50 on the D80 I can not seem to quit thinking on how much better I can be doing. Then again I hear the D300 is lovely and since my birthday is coming up I am hinting it. :) I also discover that it has a lot of selective points which sound so interesting to me. I could have really loved to use it yesterday. I will update with pictures soon but I met Brandon. He was loving the camera which made it easy on me. He is 3 weeks younger than Diego. I think Diego has been around it so much that he is tired of it. :) The shoot went fine. I really love photographing kids and I'm thinking about possibly attending the "I shoot people tour" It's this weekend. I checked out the artist site and I love his work. I can only hope to get at that level one day. So back to my scrambled thoughts I might upgrade soon.

I love his chunky legs. I am so happy he still has his baby rolls. I know soon they will be gone since he is so active but I managed to captured some chubbiness. I just want to bite him :)

Sometimes I come here and blog and forget to publish my post. Diego turned 15 months a few days ago. It just amazes me how fast time is flying. I've been trying to capture many moments since I tend to forget so easily. My mommy brains are not functioning right anymore.

I've been into hats lately. I seem to go online and search for hats and find all these cute things but he might be to big for them now. We went shopping today and I loved this really cool hat at the Children's place.

While cleaning up yesterday I found a hat I bought at Target a few months ago for a mini shoot I had planned. It was fun getting my silly guy with it but he didn't seem to want to look at mom. Is OK though I've been discovering that I catch more special moment without him trying to pose. :)

Fun at the Park..

I took Diego to the park yesterday. He had so much fun. I got a new lens and I couldn't wait to try it out. Absolutely love it. I have an amazing subject though :) He is growing up so fast. I stare at him and it amazes me how much he is changing.

As a mother I want the best for my child. I sit here and wonder what will he do later on in life. Whatever he chooses I will be here to support him. Right now I am enjoying every single moment and living through him.

Will he love photography like his mom,or join the military like dad and I, be a fireman, a surfer, a teacher...

I've been so busy with so many things that I have been feeling guilty in not keeping up. Sometimes I don't know how I can keep up with myself. Mother's Day

Mother's Day was magnificent. I got to do what I love the most, I enjoyed my day with my two loves and what better way to spend it than taking pictures. I absolutely love this park. Is located downtown Jacksonville. It was a little city for Diego. He was all over the place. I think i had more fun than him.

I got home from work today and Diego was in the happiest mood ever. He's a pretty happy baby but today he was giggling at any silly thing I did. I couldn't resist setting up my tripod and doing a mini shoot. I have found that taking pictures with babies can be difficult but amazingly today he proved me wrong. I had such a good time hearing him laughing, really makes me feel so special to be his mommy. I set him down for a minute to reset my timer on the camera and he looked at me with the biggest smile and said "MAMA". I know believe he knows who I am I never knew how special that word can be.

Those two words mean so much. It reminds me of 7 years ago when I said "I do". This past weekend we joined Michaela and Ryan as they celebrated their wedding. Everything was beautiful. Diego was the talk of the night. My little one caught the garter LOL. It was so cute to see him so tiny infront of all the other guys. He was all around the floor so it was very intertaining.

Today my sweet baby boy turns 1. I'm still amazed how fast time has flown by. Frank and I took him to the zoo this morning. He wore the shirt I bought him St Augustine while Danielle was visiting. I knew it was perfect for the occasion. I absolutely love the shirt on my little guy. What other way to show the love for this planet other than chocolate. I don't like chocolate but the shirt was to cute to pass up. We had a good time at the zoo. Diego loves to point at everything which is the cutest thing since he is so excited when he shows you something. He also says bye bye to everyone including me. LOL He brings so much joy to our lives. After leaving the zoo we came back home since Frank had to go to work for a bit.

I took him to Toys R Us to go get his $3 free gift they sent him. At least is something :) I ended up donating $3 towards children with autism. It's so sad when they put numbers together. So i bought Diego a buggy since he loved it at the store. When I got home Frank wasn't so thrilled with it. We went back and got him a 4 wheeler. Gosh, it's exciting but scary at the same time. We have to charge it for 18 hours so he might not use it til tomorrow. I can't wait to see his reaction.

We had a really good time at Chuck E Cheese. Diego loves the rides. He was a bit upset when I will take him out. Today was such a wonderful day. I took tons of pics and here is what I captured. Happy 1st Birthday my sweet baby boy!!!! We love you so much!

I always wondered what would it be like to have multiples. Nahhh I'll stay with just Diego :) Today we had such a good time. I decided to play with black and white and absolutely loved it. After such a great day I decided to clone my baby :), The images seemed to fall right in, but I need to work on my background. I was so happy to have finally gotten it. I have a few ideas coming up soon.

I can't get over how time flies, my baby boy is almost a year old. I was sitting down today staring at his pics and seeing how much he has grown. He is getting so independent. I was excited how everything turned out this past Saturday. He really seemed to enjoy himself and with his wonderful squeaky shoes getting around. The cake Rosy (thank you when you read this) made turned out wonderful. I think she should start her own cake/cupcake business. I enjoyed making the cupcakes. Cookie monster was my fave :).

I remember loving bubbles as a kid. Recently a very good friend showed pictures of her daughter with bubbles and I definitely had to let Diego see them. He loved them so much. It was so much fun seeing his reaction. I was as happy as I can be playing with my new lens. I recently got a Nikkor 55-200mm and I am absolutely in love with it. Is definitely my new baby.

Today we had such a good time with his birthday balloon and his cake. I was surprise that he did not want to smash the cake. I did a little collage with some of the pics. The first one is a template another mom made and was nice enough to share and the other one was my first made collage. He will be 1 on May 1st. I just can't believe it!

Today is a very special day. I'm not Irish but 7 years ago on St Patrick's day I said "I DO".I can't believe 7 years have gone by. This is also our 11th year of being together. Where has time flown. I feel as if it was yesterday that I met Frank. We decided to go to the park and get a few photos taken. This year is ultra special since Diego is celebrating it with us. He has a pink eye so he stayed home with us.

I'm so excited. I received my wrap today. My love started one day when I saw some beautiful pics of this wrap and of course the baby was super cute. I contacted this wonderful momma and she ended up making me one. Is a really cool material. The colors are absolutely stunning on Diego. It's tough with him though since he doesn't like anything on his head. So I had to take them really quick and by bribing him with cheerios. :)

I was so excited with the fish shoot.Yes is a fake fish. No fish were harm. :) It broke my head bad trying to combine layers but I'm very happy with them. I also took Diego by the lake today. I Took the day off since I didn't wake up feeling to good. He brightens my day. He is so much fun. Always putting something in his mouth.

A new start...

I don't know where this will lead but today marks the first day of blogging. I hope to be able to keep this up for family and friends and to show some of my talents. I have develop a new love towards photography. I think I need to rephrase that. I have always loved pictures but this time I love me taking them instead of being the one photographed. I have spent days reading and reading and trying to understand exposures. I'm hoping I can get as good as many photographers I have had the privilege to come across with. So I'll start my blog with a picture of my son Diego. He has brought so much joy to our lives. We are truly blessed to have him in our lives.
